BrainyPricesBot

BrainyPricesBot reads public prices for prices.brainy.ae, a free guide to the cost of living in Dubai. Every request it makes says who it is:

What it does

• Reads a short, fixed list of public product pages: the products we compare, not whole catalogues.
• Runs once a day, around 06:30 Dubai time (GST), with at least two seconds between requests to the same website.
• Follows each website’s robots.txt. A page that robots.txt disallows is never requested.
• Never logs in, never uses accounts, and never tries to get past a block. On a challenge, CAPTCHA, HTTP 403 or 429 it stops reading that website for the day and records it. It does not retry under another identity or address.
• Keeps only minimal facts: product name and size, price, availability, the link and the time it was seen. It does not copy descriptions, reviews or photos, and does not use logos.

How to stop it

Add this to your robots.txt; the bot reads it before every run:

User-agent: BrainyPricesBot
Disallow: /

Or write to prices@brainy.ae. We stop within 24 hours and, if you ask, remove your prices from the site in the same time. The same address works for corrections.

ما الذي يفعله

• يقرأ قائمة قصيرة وثابتة من صفحات المنتجات العامة، أي المنتجات التي نقارنها فقط، وليس الكتالوجات كاملة.
• يعمل مرة واحدة يوميًا نحو الساعة 06:30 بتوقيت دبي، مع ثانيتين على الأقل بين الطلبات إلى الموقع نفسه.
• يلتزم بملف robots.txt لكل موقع، ولا يطلب أي صفحة يمنعها هذا الملف.
• لا يسجّل الدخول ولا يستخدم حسابات ولا يحاول تجاوز أي حظر. عند ظهور اختبار تحقق أو CAPTCHA أو الرمز 403 أو 429 يتوقف عن قراءة ذلك الموقع لبقية اليوم ويسجّل ذلك، ولا يعيد المحاولة بهوية أو عنوان آخر.
• يحتفظ بالحد الأدنى من الحقائق فقط: اسم المنتج وحجمه والسعر والتوفر والرابط ووقت المشاهدة. لا ينسخ الأوصاف أو التقييمات أو الصور، ولا يستخدم الشعارات.

كيف توقفه

أضف ما يلي إلى ملف robots.txt في موقعك، إذ يقرؤه البوت قبل كل تشغيل:

أو راسلنا على prices@brainy.ae. نتوقف خلال 24 ساعة، ونحذف أسعارك من الموقع خلال المدة نفسها إذا طلبت ذلك. ويمكن استخدام العنوان نفسه لطلب التصحيحات.
