Your case
Is the job ending?
All the annual leave days you have taken since you started. Leave empty if none.
The basic salary in your contract, without allowances. Unused leave at the end of the job is paid on this figure.
Basic salary plus the cash allowances in your contract. Leave days and the notice period are paid on this wage.

Notice period

If the notice was not fully worked, the side that ended it early pays for the rest.

Nothing you type is stored, sent or written in the address bar: the calculation runs in this browser.

Example

A full-time worker who started on 1 January 2023 and leaves on 31 December 2025, with a basic salary of AED 6,000 a month and a total wage of AED 9,000 a month, who took 60 days of leave and worked a 30-day notice period in full.

Your annual leave

Days of service: 1,096, from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025.

With a year or more of service, the law sets at least 30 days for each year and leave in proportion for the part of the last year (Article 29(1)). For your service that is at least 90.1 days.

Days of leave taken: 60. Days left by this count: 30.1.

A day of annual leave is paid with your full wage: AED 300 a day, which is the total monthly wage divided by 30 (Article 29(1) and (6); Article 67).

When the job ends, unused leave is paid on the basic salary. Days of unused leave: 30.1, at AED 200 a day: at least AED 6,020 (Article 29(9); Cabinet Resolution No. 1 of 2022, Article 19(2)).

Notice period

The notice period is the one in your contract, and the law requires it to be between 30 and 90 days (Article 43(1)).

During the notice period the contract continues and you are paid your full last wage: AED 9,000 for the 30-day notice period (Article 43(2)).

Notice days worked: 30 of 30. The full notice was worked, so no notice allowance is due.

How this calculator works

  1. Leave days: at least 30 for each year of service, with the part of the last year in proportion, or at least 2 for each month with more than six months and less than a year (Article 29(1)). A year is 365 days and a month 30 (Article 67).
  2. Leave days are paid with the full wage; unused leave at the end of the job is paid on the basic salary (Article 29(9)); the notice period is paid with the last full wage (Article 43(2)).
  3. Every figure is a minimum. Where the law leaves a step open, such as how a started month counts, we say which method we use.

What this page does not do

  1. It does not read your contract, which may give more leave or a different notice period within the law.
  2. It does not cover part-time work, the probation period (Article 9), dismissal without notice (Article 44) or workers outside this law.
  3. It is an estimate, not legal advice. For a dispute about your leave or notice, MOHRE handles complaints from private-sector workers.
